Mr. Armes has been President, CEO and Director of Lakeland since 2010 and has stewarded the Company’s move into uranium and the Athabasca Basin. Prior to joining Lakeland, Mr. Armes provided corporate development, finance and management services to mining exploration companies for over 15 years including Band-Ore Resources Ltd. (now part of Lake Shore Gold Corp.) and Trelawney Mining and Exploration Inc. (acquired by IamGold in 2012). Mr. Armes graduated from the University of Guelph in 1993 with a bachelor of applied science degree.
Mr. Dahrouge is a professional geologist with 25 years of experience in Canada and internationally, and has a successful background in uranium exploration and project generation within the Athabasca Basin.
Since 1998, Mr. Dahrouge has been the president of Dahrouge Geological Consulting Ltd., a geological services company that provides consulting services to a broad range of public and private exploration and mining companies. He is a professional geologist (Alberta) and holds Bachelor of Science degrees in geology and computing science, both from the University of Alberta.
Until September 2007, Mr. Dahrouge was President and COO of Fission Energy Corp. (“Fission”), and played a key role in the acquisition of several of Fission’s key exploration properties, including Waterbury Lake, Patterson Lake and Patterson Lake South (“PLS”). Two very significant uranium occurrences were eventually discovered at those projects, including the J-Zone at Waterbury Lake, and the Triple R uranium deposit at PLS.
Mr. Khan spent close to twenty years in senior management positions in all aspects of the Canadian investment industry, including retail, institutional sales, corporate finance, capital markets, and investment banking. In 2003, he started his own consulting firm that focuses on corporate development and capital fund raising for early stage private and public companies. In recent years, Mr. Khan has successfully completed numerous joint ventures, including corporate and government partnered ventures in Canada, United States, Japan, China, and Korea. A graduate of the University of British Columbia with a BSc. (1978) and MBA (1983), Mr. Khan also holds a Chartered Financial Analyst designation (CFA), and is a member of the CFA Institute.
Mr. Khan currently sits on the board and is an executive officer of a number of private and public companies. He has also held executive management and board positions in a number of uranium companies such as Energy Fuels Inc, Strathmore Minerals Corp. and Fission Energy Corp. He was an instrumental part of the team that negotiated Strathmore's Roca Honda Joint Venture with Sumitomo Corp of Japan in 2007, as well as he was part of the team that brought Korea Electric Power Corp (KEPCO) to Fission and later to another joint venture with Strathmore Minerals.
Ms. Petryshen brings over 25 years of management experience with a specialization in corporate compliance and governance for public, private and not for profit organizations. She has been a Director and Officer of several public and private companies. Most recently, Ms. Petryshen was Corporate Secretary for CanAlaska Uranium Ltd. (2007-2012) where she oversaw the company’s transition and growth from the TSX Venture Exchange to the TSX main board. Ms. Petryshen is an Accredited Director and a Fellow with the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (“ICSA”) where she currently serves as Director and Chair of the BC Branch and is also a Director for the Committee for Canada.
Mr. McCallum has approximately 10 years of experience primarily in North American mineral deposit exploration, with a focus on targeting and discovery of unconformity-related uranium deposits. He is currently a project manager at Edmonton based Dahrouge Geological Consulting Ltd. Mr. McCallum has managed and conducted uranium exploration in and around the Athabasca Basin and other jurisdictions for multiple companies. His experience includes target generation and planning, hiring, logistics, land management, data compilation, project reviews and management. Mr. McCallum was involved in the early stages of the Waterbury Lake (J-Zone) and Patterson Lake (North) Projects.
Mr. David Hodge has been President of Zimtu Capital Corp. since July, 2008 and has extensive experience in the management and financing of publicly traded resource companies. Mr. Hodge’s success has been founded on a belief in team building, consultation and strong leadership, as well as a willingness to incorporate expert advice into a viable working enterprise. Mr. Hodge also serves on the Board of Directors of Western Potash Corp., Commerce Resources Corp., Equitas Resources Corp. and Pasinex Resources Ltd.
Mr. Leschuk has the designation of Chartered Investment Manager, CIM, and has more than 20 years experience in the Financial Services and Investment Industry. Mr. Leschuk successfully managed client accounts on a full range of financial services which included stocks, mutual funds, tax sheltered investments, lines of credit and mortgages for over 15 years. Mr. Leschuk is also a member of the Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute, FCSI.
Ms. Bellefleur has been Chief Financial Officer of Zimtu Capital Corp. since June, 2013 and has been with the Zimtu group of companies since 2008. She is responsible for regulatory financial reporting including preparation of quarterly financial statements and management discussion and analysis. Ms. Bellefleur is a CGA with over 20 years' experience as a corporate accountant. Ms. Bellefleur has worked as an accountant for various publicly listed mineral exploration companies exclusively for 6 years and prior to that, with a private manufacturing company for 12 years. She has been a Member of the Certified General Accountants Association of British Columbia since 1998. Ms. Bellefleur is a graduate of the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Commerce degree.
